           Getting Old - No Thanks

It always is and should be the first question, why are you selling her if she's so good ?

There are a few reasons most of which are linked to the title above, so rather than prevaricate I'll list them below.

Firstly I do not keep cars forever, I enjoy them and move on to enjoy something else, as demonstrated with my last Mk2. There are too many experiences to enjoy out there and time stops for no man. I've had three great years, time to move on.

Secondly, I enjoy rebuilding as a hobby but only entrust this car to the experts as there is too much sophistication in the XJ 40 for which I do not have the knowledge or test equipment.  I have a Daimler V8 250 which is now nearing completion and I do not have the space to keep all the cars that I have. That said for the reason below that may be delayed too.

Finally, and most importantly, I have been diagnosed with two health conditions which each need surgical intervention. This will mean that, once I have a date for the first operation, it will be three months before the second can be scheduled. 2024 is now a write off for me and no guarantee 2025 will  be smooth running.

It's therefore time to let her go to someone who appreciates the model and the condition and quality of what is on offer and enjoy this summer, and many more, with her. My initial surgery date is imminent  so any viewings will have to facilitate my position at the requested time.

Thank you for reading my ramblings and as stated on the initial page, I am happy to take calls and emails at any time and or provide any requested additional information.

Please also enjoy the galleries.
